Neil Doherty

Neil Doherty is Chief Engineer for NPD & BIM Deployment at JLG Industries Inc. He has overall responsibility for defining the EMEA region’s technical product requirements and developing EMEA’s Digital Products Strategy. Neil joined JLG in 2012 to deliver key projects such as JLG’s RS Telehandler range and has recently launched the new BIM Library.

Neil has over 23 years of experience in off-highway product development, working on a wide range of products from engines to excavators to dozers and more recently access platforms. He has worked across design, project management and manufacturing, and spent 7 years as a certified Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt.

He believes that to develop great products you must fully understand the job your customer is doing and produce a product that solves a problem and enhances the user experience.

Neil is a professional engineer with an Honors degree in Mechanical Engineering and also holds a Masters in Business Administration.
