Darren Williams is head of high-level access at Emrill. He has over 15 years of experience in high access and risk management across facilities management projects and large-scale events in the UK and UAE.
Williams has developed and implemented several onshore and offshore programmes and is an expert ‘Working at Height’ instructor. He has worked with global organisations and provided expertise in the design and manufacture of personal protective equipment and dropped object products. Williams has also aided in certification procedures for high-access strategy solutions for international organisations.
Williams has held prominent roles, including being the vice chairman of the International Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) for the Middle East, Central and South East Asia. As a member of IRATA’s Health and Safety and Equipment and Standards Committees, and advisor to Dubai Municipality, Williams assisted with the development of revised ‘Working at Height’ guidelines regarding rope access, elevated platforms, mobile scaffolds, and ladder systems.
An advocate for safety, development, and recognition of international and regional compliance across all facets of the high-access industry, Williams continues to share his experience and improve existing methods among clients.
